RP Tullamore House

A stately home in Ireland, used as a war hospital for the past four years. The seat of the Tullamore family, who have now returned to reclaim their family home. Set in majestic grounds.

Sylvia trotted along after Bridget.

S: Thank you ever so much for letting me stay with you, Bridget. Are you sure your parents don't mind?

B: If they do, I don't. I'll need some company. There's no one around here for miles, I'll be so bored if you leave!

Anthony stood, waiting to to be called upon by the women. As he was a servant, so. Yeah. He sighed, hating being stood still.

B: Bags, Anthony.

She nodded to the bags on the back of the coach as the two ladies got to the front door, where Lord and Lady Tullamore were waiting to greet them.

LoT: Girls, finally! How was the journey?

LaT: You must be hungry.

Anthony grabbed the bags and hoisted them from the back of the coach, marvelling at their weight before carrying them to the door- a respectful distance behind the women.

The girls were ushered in, while the other footman got the rest of the bags and led Anthony to the servant's entrance.

Footman: Best hurry, the maids will want to unpack before the ladies dress for dinner.

Anthony was only half listening. Though the grounds were vast, the trees could be seen from any point on the land. Those towering trees that glimmered with some unknown magic.

A: Yes...

Footman: Y'know, Dorothy was asking after you again... mentioned she was going on a walk later. Near the woods. Upstairs are playing bridge or something, no guests, so we aren't all needed. I could cover for you...

His eye glittered and he grinned as he winked at Anthony.

Anthony's face broke into a smile, and he nodded eagerly.

A: Thank you!

Footman: You're lucky, Dorothy's been making eyes at you since we got her, Mable completely ignores me!

A: I don't know, do you think so?

He mussed his hair up and stood up a bit straighter.

Footman: Definitely! The two of you make a nice pair. You'd be lucky to settle with a girl like Dorothy.

The word 'settle' played in Anthony's head for a few seconds, and he sighed.

A: You're right.

They reached the bedrooms of the ladies and dumped the bags. I mean placed them. Neatly. The maids were already in there, chatting to each others. Dorothy, a pretty, curvy, shy girl smiled at Anthony as he entered. The other girl, Mable, was tall and beautiful and vivacious and far out of Fred's league.

Mable: Afternoon, lads.

Fred: Mable, lovely as ever.

Blanked.

Dot: Afternoon Anthony...

Anthony nodded, looking visibly flustered by her addressing him.

A: Afternoon.

Dot: You um, you ought to go, they might be up soon...

A: Shame to go... it's such a lovely day.

He gestured at the blue sky.

Dorothy smiled shyly at him; nudged sharply in the ribs by Mable, she spoke:

Dot: Maybe later we could go on a walk? When I'm done up here, I mean.

(got it to work)

Anthony smiled.

A:That would be marvellous.

(yassssss gurl)

Dot: I underst- oh, really? Alright, well, I'll meet you by the back door in about, um, twenty minutes?

Anthony dipped his head in a nod, still smiling.

A: That's a plan.

Dot: Good, yes, um, okay.

She beamed.

M: You should probably go now.

A: Ah... yes.

He walked off, his eyes bright.

About twenty minutes later Dorothy was waiting outside the back door, shawl wrapped around her loosely, fluttering. Strands of hair blew gently in the breeze, and she was waiting nervously for Anthony.

He jogged over to her, hair mussed up and face pink from embarrassment. Cutie.

A: You look very nice, Dorothy.
